When I was nineteen, I committed a series of bank robberies for which I was sentenced to serve 25 1/2 years in the Virginian Department of Corrections. I was released after 13 years when the Governor of Virginia issued a Conditional Pardon effectively reducing my sentence to time served. 

While incarcerated, my work appeared in REED magazine, CURA, and several PEN anthologies, and from 2016-2021, the PEN Prison Writing and Justice Program recognized me with seven awards in various categories. It was near the end of my time in prison that I submitted my first LitRPG novel to Shadow Alley Press. 

They took a chance on me, and I now have two series out with them (Mystic Seasons Upload and The Dark Lord of Crafting) and I am fortunate enough to work as their Reader Experience Manager.
